To launch a voice-based shopping system, Google and Walmart have teamed up

Walmart customers will soon be able to use their voice to make purchases online. The Walmart retail chain has teamed up with Google to introduce a system that lets you order goods from Walmart using Google Assistant on any device. This month will see the launch of this system, called Walmart Voice Order. Users of Google Home from Walmart Voice Order can use it with Assistant-enabled smart displays, Android phones, and iPhones. On any device with Google Assistant, just say “Hey Google, talk to Walmart,” and you may order your preferred orange juice, according to Walmart.

To make purchases, you can add Walmart to Google Assistant and link your current Walmart shipping account. Add items to the shopping cart and proceed to payment. Walmart will be in charge of sending the merchandise using material payment methods. The customer’s desired item will also be accurately and swiftly voice-displayed with the aid of data from prior Walmart purchases.

In order for the customer to use it confidently, the corporation promises to let them know what they desire. Walmart increasingly understands your needs the more you use it. Saying “add milk to my cart” at Walmart, for instance, will allow a client to order their preferred brand of milk if the retailer is aware of the sort of milk they are purchasing. Google Assistant is now the only platform where Walmart Voice Order is accessible. According to the business, it will eventually be made available for more platforms.

Walmart is using new technology in order to compete with Amazon, which is enhancing the shopping experience with new technologies like robots. Using the Alexa virtual assistant, Amazon also offers a voice-shopping system. Walmart allows you to purchase both consumer products and food, which sets it apart from Amazon’s offerings. For cloud technology services, Walmart and Microsoft have a 5-year agreement.
