A brand-new virtual VR headset is unveiled by Sony for the PlayStation

Sony’s new generation PlayStation VR 2 Headset, which will compete with Meta Quest, has unveiled its design. According to The Verge, this owl employs a black-and-white color palette reminiscent of the PlayStation 5 and has the same board layout as the original PlayStation VR, but with improved lens adjustments and a redesigned vent design. The new PlayStation VR2 comes with PS5 and PS DualSense controllers, and the front and rear control bands of the headgear have been embellished with tiny PlayStation icons.

The concept of making a vent that exhales air from the headgear is the first aspect I want to call attention to. According to senior art director Eugene Morisawa, this is comparable to the air intake ports on the PS5 console. The concept was thought up by our engineers as a fantastic approach to making an air vent. By doing this, gamers may play VR games without experiencing lens blur. Mori Sawa and a group of engineers came up with many design ideas to stop the lenses from overheating while playing video games, and they ultimately chose to add an air vent between the front and top of the lens.

More than 5 years after the initial debut of the PlayStation VR, the new PlayStation VR 2 is now available. It may be used with PS5, although a unique adaptor is required. The new headset has a vibration touch response. the capacity to follow and find the lens in response to the eye’s gaze. 90/120Hz frame rates; 4K HDR OLED Display It combines a VR headset with an eye tracking system, graphics, and a 110-degree panoramic system. It also uses a single USB-C cable to connect to the PlayStation 5. The new Sony VR Headset’s cost and release date are currently unknown. The $399 price tag for the 2016 release of the first iteration. Only consumers who already own a PlayStation console will be interested in Sony’s new offering, which will compete with Facebook’s Meta Quest Headset device.

The Sony VR Headset requires a PlayStation, whereas the $299 Meta Quest 2 may be used wirelessly for everyday tasks or connected to a computer for powerful game programs. The Meta Quest 2 includes two controllers to regulate movement in virtual reality, just like the Sony Headset does. The parent corporation of Facebook, Meta, has declared that it will invest $10 billion to make the transition into the Metaverse, a Virtual Reality (VR) environment where people may communicate.
