Presenting the innovative, superior foldable display technology from LG

One issue with foldable phones has been addressed by a new device from LG. A new foldable display that outperforms competing products has been released, according to LG Chem, a division of LG Company. According to rumors, the new display from LG Chem can be folded like plastic and is as tough as glass.

According to PCMag, the material would be able to drastically reduce folds because it is fragile-resistant and thin. With continuous folding, a noticeable fold line often emerges on the display of foldable smartphones, which is a common issue. A specifically created coating is applied on top of a thin polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic sheet to create LG’s innovative Real Folding Window technology product.

According to reports, it will be equally as hard as today’s toughened glass, be thinner, and be able to bend like plastic. LG Chem’s new coating technique, which differs from existing polymath film and durable glass materials, can offer the greatest answer for issues like the screen’s common bending and folding in foldable phones, according to a company spokeswoman. The Real Folding Window can resist up to 200,000 folds, claims LG Chem.

Both inward-folding and outward-folding displays can make use of this technology. Also, it is said that a fix was made such that folding the screen no longer results in screen breakage. In addition, LG is getting ready to manufacture high-tech Rollable Display products. In 2022, Real Folding Windows will be mass-produced, and in 2023, they will be marketed to other buyer partners.
