At CES 2022, a 5G phone with a slide-out keyboard was unveiled that could function as a tiny pocket PC. Astro Slide 5G with an illuminated keyboard has been released by Planet Computers. It has a slide-out keyboard that is built into the phone and has a well-thought-out hinge system.
The Astro Slide 5G is a reminiscence device for people who recall phones with QWERTY keyboards. It is reported that the software will include both LinuxOS and Android 11. Sailfish OS is being supported by Planet Computers. A 6.39-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ quality is included with the Astro Slide 5G. A 13MP front-facing camera is included, as well as top and bottom bezels.
According to rumors, the Dimensity 800 5G Chipset’s 8GB/128GB RAM and storage can be expanded even further via a microSD card. It is possible to open apps in addition to the QWERTY keypad. Moreover, there will be programmable keyboard keys that can change between system operations. A fingerprint scanner and a 48MP Sony camera are also located on the rear. On either side of the phone are two ports, one of which is a USB-C port, and a dual nano-SIM slot.
A 3.5mm headphone jack is present on Astro Slide 5G.NFC, a stereo speaker with a 4000mAh battery that supports 30W Rapid Charging, and a 10W Qi Wireless Charging technology are also featured. Only the color blue is currently offered, and it will cost 862 pounds when it is released in March (over 2000,000 Myanmar Kyats).
